Background information on CCT Venues
October 2007
Central City Training Venues - known as CCT Venues - opened for business in April 2005.
Their first venue was opened in the historic market building of Smithfield, and converted to provide a large, modern training, meeting and conference space.
It comprises eight large training and meeting rooms, all with natural daylight, air conditioning and unobstructed sight lines, the largest of which can seat up to 250 people theatre style. It also has a café serving a range of lunch and refreshment options, and there are a plenty of smaller syndicate/breakout rooms. The venue is situated on one floor.
Before opening CCT Venues-Smithfield, founder and managing director Caroline Bull researched the London market and identified key purchasing criteria on which to develop the business model for her new venue.
In response, CCT Venues offers:
• A very central location (both venues are in EC1) with excellent transport links
• A variety of room sizes and layouts
• A conference room for up to 250 people
• Prices guaranteed lower than the London average
• Flexible catering packages with an emphasis on fresh, healthy food made with seasonal ingredients
• Great service from a small dedicated team
• Light, bright modern rooms
As a result, in the first 12 months of trading the business hosted events from over 70 companies, over 90% of which re-booked.
