"; full_story23text="CCT Venues signalled confidence over renewed business growth with two key appointments to its sales team this April.

David Ryan joins CCT Venues as Senior Business Development Manager and Clare de Brett as Sales & Diary Co-ordinator. Both will be based at the company's Canary Wharf location but will operate across the whole of CCT Venues' London-based business.

Before joining CCT Venues, David spent nine years with a major conference and training venue. In his three years as Sales Manager, he achieved sales growth of 30%. He also created and implemented a customer loyalty club, growing it from six member organisations in 2006 to an impressive 220 by 2010.

David says: "I was attracted to CCT Venues as it's a successful, dynamic, growing business with a great team spirit. I'm immensely excited about opportunities for the future here and look forward to contributing to CCT Venues' many successes."

His wealth of experience and contacts, and impressive track record in key account management will further strengthen CCT Venues' drive for business development. David's skills include sales leadership and coaching, and mentoring high-performing sales teams.

Clare de Brett was the Sales and Operations Manager at a busy cleaning company based in South West London before joining CCT Venues this Spring. She also worked with a corporate hospitality company specialising in Christmas parties.

As the new Sales & Diary Co-ordinator, Clare is looking forward to working with the rest of the Sales and Marketing team to co-ordinate and process bookings across all three CCT Venues.

David and Clare will add their skills to a team that has bucked recent economic trends and gone from strength to strength. Managing Director Caroline Bull puts CCT Venues' continued success down to "an unbeatable package of excellent space, superb service, and value for money."

"; full_story22text="It was the year David Tennant was named as the 10th Doctor Who, Andy Murray made his Wimbledon debut, Charles and Camilla tied the knot and London was awarded the 2012 Olympics. 2005 was also the year CCT Venues opened its first building in Smithfield.

Celebrating its fifth birthday on 14 April 2010, CCT Venues-Smithfield has built a reputation for offering high-quality training, conference and meeting facilities at a convenient city-centre location. The venue, which is housed in a Grade II listed building, was extensively refurbished in 2009. While the interiors may be brand new, many of the clients are old friends: more than 30% have been using the company's services since it first began.

Growing demand for CCT Venues' services saw expansion over two more stunning sites. After the success of CCT Venues-Smithfield in 2005, CCT Venues-Barbican followed in 2006. CCT Venues-Canary Wharf opened in July 2008 and was extended in February 2009.

Founder and Managing Director Caroline Bull puts CCT Venues' success down to “an unbeatable package of convenience, quality and value for money”. The company has versatile facilities ready to host anything from a half-day meeting for five people to a conference for 275. Offering state-of-the-art presentation facilities and superb catering, their buildings have even been used as film locations, audition studios and party venues.

The company is celebrating its anniversary with a special offer to clients. For a limited period only, CCT Venues is offering 2010 services at 2005 prices!

This unique Grade II listed building has been redecorated throughout and now includes a collection of inspiring artwork. Bright, contemporary, well-equipped rooms and a comfortable café restaurant can accommodate up to 500 people in total. A stream of visitors arrived between 8.00am and 5.30pm, enjoying tours of the facilities and sampling refreshments from the café restaurant.

Rooms named after breeds of livestock remind visitors they are at the heart of the UK's meat industry in historic Smithfield market. Produce has been traded here for more than 800 years, making it one of London's oldest markets. Following a £70 million refurbishment, the market is now considered the most modern in Europe. CCT Venues is located directly above the market, offering facilities full of character, and as the market operates at night, it is wonderfully quiet during the day. The area is also now famous for it's fashionable nightclubs and thriving restaurants and bars, ideal for winding down after a long day.

Conveniently located on the edge of the City and close to the West End, CCT Venues-Smithfield is suitable for a range of events including meetings, training, assessment centres and conferences.

This leading provider of training, conference and meeting venues was highly commended in the Business Growth category of the Docklands Business Club and East London Chamber of Commerce Awards 2009.

Following hot on the heels of their success at Archant London's 11th annual Thames Gateway Business Awards, this new accolade recognises significant improvements in business performance. CCT Venues provided judges with evidence of growth in sales and profits and the successful introduction of new products and services over the past three years.

Described by the Chairman of the Docklands Business Club as one of the “crème de la crème of local business success stories”, CCT Venues fought off stiff competition from across South and East London and the Thames Gateway. The award was made at a glamorous black-tie dinner hosted by Forman's Fish Island on Thursday 25th June.

CCT Venues has bucked the trend by expanding as other businesses contracted. As bad news rocked the capital late last year, the company took the opportunity to extend its Canary Wharf venue. Managing Director Caroline Bull says demand for CCT Venues' services is still strong: “We believe we offer an unbeatable package of convenience, quality and value for money.”

"; full_story17text="CCT Venues received a boost to its environmental credentials this month after winning a Clean City Award. Organised by the City of London Corporation, this awards scheme encourages good practice in waste management across the Square Mile.

The City's Cleansing Services team monitored CCT Venues' premises before presenting evidence to an independent panel of judges. The company's achievements were later rewarded at a ceremony and reception held in the Mansion House.

It's welcome recognition for CCT Venues' long-standing commitment to reducing waste, reusing materials and recycling. Staff have worked hard to minimise the environmental impact of the company's three training venues, two of which are located in the City. Initiatives include creating notepads out of unused booklets and ensuring catering food is delivered in reusable packaging.

Being part of the Clean City Awards Scheme allows CCT Venues to further its objectives of building environmental awareness in its venues and working with the community to help improve the local area. "; full_story11text="Creative thinking can help save the planet and cut business costs: that's the message from CCT Venues. Along with an active recycling programme, the company also encourages its staff to consider reusing materials wherever possible.

Hundreds of unused client booklets were destined for landfill until staff had a brainwave. Why not tear out the one page that contained company information and use the other blank pages as writing paper in the training rooms?

In the past year, CCT Venues has managed to recycle more than 50% of its waste and actively reduced its contribution to landfill. The company started by recycling cardboard and toner cartridges. Today it also saves glass, paper, cans and plastic containers in partnership with the City of London's recycling scheme.

Working together with suppliers, the company ensures that the amount of waste brought into its buildings is minimised. For example, catering food is now delivered in reusable packaging rather than disposable plastic or cardboard boxes.

CCT Venues staff are trained to conserve resources and save power. Offices and training suites make use of low energy lighting, which is switched off in areas that are not being used. Cleaning products are environmentally assessed and the company purchases fair trade products wherever possible.
