This is an ideal role for someone wanting to develop a career in Sales in the Events industry.
The role of the Sales Intern (SI) will provide an opportunity to gain experience in a busy sales environment, coordinating and processing sales enquiries. The post-holder will ensure that all enquiries are dealt with in a professional manner and that bookings are optimally placed, confirming as much business as possible whilst balancing client needs, using the yield calendar and making sure that all CCT Venues pricing policies are followed at all venues.
The daily updating of all related administrative systems and in particular KX is a vital element of this role. The (SI) will also be responsible for ensuring the smooth transition of all bookings from sales to operations within all venues through effective communication. Additional tasks will include generating booking contracts and support to the marketing function based in the same office. Training will be provided as required.
The successful candidate will have an interest in developing a career in a client-facing environment and service related industry, with some introductory level sales experience, such as working in a shop or call centre. Degree level education is desirable, with the ability to relate to senior business executives.
The successful postholder will have a confident manner, strong communication skills and be an effective team player with a positive attitude.
You will be highly efficient with strong administrative skills and an eye for detail. You will also have good written and spoken English, with strong numeracy skills and confidence working with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
You will be expected to work Monday to Friday (9am – 6pm) for a 45 hour week including an hour of breaks a day. Flexibility will be required to meet client requirements and you may occasionally be required to start before 9am to provide support for customer facing duties.
Remuneration & Benefits
The salary is £8.24 per hour for 45 hours per week (including 1 hour of breaks per day unpaid).
Annual leave is accrued at a rate of 1.8 days per calendar month, plus Bank Holidays (i.e. you will have 7 days annual leave during this period).
This role is required from September to 20th December 2019. For a successful candidate, there are opportunities to be taken on as a Sales Co-ordinator subject to the success of the internship.
