Are Meeting, Training and Conference Venues Allowed to Reopen?
Meeting, training and conference venues are now allowed to reopen, providing they can adhere to the safety measures imposed by the government and sector best practice.
After receiving permission from the government, we reopened our venues on 1st August 2020 and have been authorised to run events for up to 30 attendees. Therefore, as long as your meeting, training event or conference is for 30 people or fewer, you can go ahead and start organising it. Enquire with us now for availability.
We have implemented an extensive array of safety measures and precautions to keep all visitors safe. As a result, we have achieved various industry-leading accreditations for Covid safety. We have produced this walkthrough video to give you an idea of what it will be like when you next visit us and to give you peace of mind that we have every aspect taken care of.
For more information about the measures we have put in place, read our comprehensive Safety First Handbook.
What Business Events are Currently Allowed?
There has been some confusion surrounding this over the past few weeks, but at the time of writing this article, the below explains what is and is not allowed:
- Any type of business event, up to 30 attendees are currently permitted, providing social distancing rules can be adhered to. This includes meetings, training, conferences, receptions and hybrid events.
- Any type of events with more than 30 attendees are currently banned.
- Exhibition centres aren’t allowed to reopen until 1st October 2020.
- It is expected that events of more than 30 people will be permitted from 1st October 2020 onwards, enabling trade shows, consumer shows and exhibitions to take place, providing rates of Covid-19 infection remain at current levels.
