A huge well done to our Executive Chef, Jamian Lewis who took part in the UK heat of the IACC Copper Skillet Awards 2015
The competition was intense, the judging criteria included originality of the creation, presentation, texture, flavour combinations and the hygiene standard of the work area.
Chefs were presented with pantry items including fresh produce, grains and other ingredients to use in their preparation. Each chef was given 15 minutes to review the items and plan their dish, and then 30 minutes for the cook-off.
The competition is run by IACC (The International Association of Conference Centres) to find and celebrate the best Conference Chefs in the world. This was a record year for the number of competing chefs and the first year. Jamian has entered since 2011 when he won the UK, European and World championships.
